Job Description

The ideal applicant for this position will be in charge of converting consumers who visit the showroom into sales through tangible product demonstrations, fulfilling sales targets, and facilitating order processing, paperwork gathering, and administration.

To be able to market the features and benefits of each product and category, you will need to determine our client’s urgent needs and have clear direction on product pricing and offers as linked with the catalog. You will also resolve customer queries and collect consumer payments, refunds, and credits.

Duties and Responsibilities

Manage the customer journey account opening and order processing

  • Ensure that customers are greeted upon arrival. Ascertain her immediate demand
  • Ensure products are visually shown as in the catalog NTF clients are to be encouraged/incentivized to open an account
  • Ensure product price is correct and ascertain customers’ ATB
  • Provide customer assistance with installment payments, query resolution, order processing, and goods returned
  • Ensure that customer service and support service level agreements are in place and met
  • As an ambassador, ensure a professional, polite, and efficient service is provided
  • Ensure that clients are assisted at self-service kiosks.
  • Help with everyday administration tasks related to customer support, vetting, order, and query resolution.
  • When marketing and raising showroom awareness, make sure you fulfill business objectives while keeping a high level of customer pleasure.

Product knowledge and pricing management 

  • Make sure you’re up to date on the catalog and HomeChoice Products for your product category.
  • Ensure that you understand product features and benefits, including Electronics, and that you can sell with confidence.
  • Ensure that you are providing enough up-to-date training for the items offered, as well as being completely knowledgeable on insurance, legalities, and so on.
  • Make sure you are aware of any competition products and know how to upsell.
  • Ensure that pricing and offers are consistent with the catalog, and that price changes/deals are implemented as needed.
  • Visual Merchandising & Housekeeping
  • Ensure that products are visually merchandised in line with VM policy.
  • Ensure that housekeeping standards are observed to be in accordance with policy.
  • Meet operational efficiency Consistently meet or exceed productivity, adherence, turnaround time, and quality targets and standards.
  • Ensure that any pending duties are always up to date.
  • Adhere to any service level agreements.
  • Constantly and proactively convey ways to increase efficiencies in our performance, procedures, and systems.
  • Ensure compliance standards and legislative requirements are followed and agreed-upon quality benchmarks are fulfilled.
  • Always ensure that the correct information is relayed to customers.
  • Acquire and accurately capture all necessary information.
  • Ensure that current catalogs and order forms are consistently in stock and displayed accordingly.
  • Ensure that you are 100% versed in daily operations with regard to click & collect procedure.
  • Ensure a professional, polite, and efficient service is provided by acting as an ambassadress.

  • Assume responsibility by ensuring that advice is always offered in the best interests of the customer.
  • Handle objections correctly to obtain positive results while retaining customer happiness.
  • Continuously work to improve the customer experience and service delivery.

Adhere to quality standards 

  • Always ensure that the proper information is given to clients.
  • Obtain and accurately capture all relevant information.
  • Ensure that all administrative and reporting tasks are completed on time and in compliance with applicable protocols and procedures.
  • Comply with all rules, processes, and company standards and regulations.
  • Ensure that your look is consistent with staff policy and that you are wearing staff uniforms and name badges provided by HomeChoice.

WFS Feedback

  • Process GR – Refunds / Credit Customer”
  • Completion of the assessment process
  • Ensure that assessments are documented on the customer’s account
  • Ensure that assessments are posted and collected on time”
  • Stock control stock orders, taking into account limits such as storage space and stock on hand
  • Assembly of delivered goods for the Showroom floor
  • Keeping the stockroom up to business standards
  • Replacement of Spares for Breakages
  • Ensure that all Visual Display Stock has been scanned in and that all paperwork has been signed and filed.
  • Ensure weekly floor check and stock take on Click & Collect items.
  • Feedback to Admin Manager and any inconsistencies notified
  • Monthly Click and Collect figures given to HCDC Inventory Manager
  • Daily duties as per Stockroom roster adhered to
  • Ensure all PODs are captured and Click Collect parcels aged stickers are completed, and pasted on Click and Collect parcels.
  • Ensure all Click and Collect parcels are scanned same day as delivery
  • Ensure delivery note of Click and Collect is passed onto Showroom Salvage staff to contact customers for collection daily
  • Ensure that all GRs are accounted for and forwarded to HCDC on a daily basis.
  • Ensure that all stock communication is emailed to HCDC and Showroom Management.
  • Ensure that security is present when deliveries are made.
  • Ensure that security around opening and closing protocols, as well as security in general, are continuously communicated to workers, run monthly emergency procedures to ensure that staff is prepared to deal with any security difficulties.

Administration and Reporting

  • Receipting deliveries from DC
  • Receipting goods return with Security
  • Liaising with Admin Manager on Parcels for Click & Collect
  • Overseeing stock transfers to and from the DC as per policy
  • Ensure Stock Takes are completed regularly in line with set KPA’s  

Requirements

  • Grade 12/Matric/NQFL 3/NQFL 4
  • 1 year of retail experience is required
  • The ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • It would be advantageous to work in the homewares retail industry.
