Seriti Coal invites applicants with the following trades (Diesel Mechanic, Fitter, Boilermaker, and Electrician) to apply for engineering learnership positions. Seriti is a South African mining business that is 91% black owned and controlled.
It is co-owned by four black anchor shareholders: Zungu Investments (Zico), Masimong Group, Community Investment Holdings (CIH), and Thebe Investments.
Seriti is Eskom’s leading black-controlled coal supplier, with a clear focus on supplying Eskom with secure, long-term coal supply solutions to feed its power station fleet.

Requirements
- Matric/Grade 12 with Mathematics (not mathematical literacy) and Science with a minimum of 40%
- Subjects of less than 40% won’t be accepted
To qualify for this learnership position you must be having two N2-related subjects or a minimum N2 of the relevant following disciplines :
- Electrician( Engineering Science, Mathematics, Electrical Trade Theory, Industrial Electronics)
- Diesel Mechanic(Motor Trade Theory or Diesel, Mathematics, Engineering Drawing, Engineering Science)
- Boilermaker(Structural Steel Drawing and planting, Engineering Science, Mathematics, Plater Trade Theory)
- Fitter(Mathematics, Fitting and Machining Theory, Engineering Drawing, Engineering Science, )
- Applicants must be able and willing to take a psychometric test.
- Must have or be able to receive a certificate of fitness
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must have no criminal record

Skills
- Must be willing and able to work shifts, standby, and call-outs as needed.
- Ability to discover faults without supervision.
- Must be a self-starter, creative, and able to work under pressure.
