Job Description
RCL Foods is recruiting for a driven, highly energized and operational focused General worker within the baking business unit.The suitable candidate will be responsible to drive promotional truck or other vehicle over planned routes or within an established territory as per planned activation schedule. This role will be based in Durban and reporting to the Production Manager.
This role is a Fixed Term contract.
Requirements
- Matric
- Read and write
- Computer Literacy would be an advantage
Duties And Responsibilities
- Do operational Start up checks as per Operational Checks SOP
- Report any irregularities/issues to the team leader
- Report any breakdowns or machine issues at start up, during the day and end of shift to team leader
- Ensure all equipment and utensils are looked after and managed as per Utensils and equipment management SOP
- Work in accordance with all company standard operating procedures
- Ensure at the end of each shift before leaving the department, the area is clean and tidy.
- Ensure before leaving your workstation, a handover is conducted with the next shift.
- Adhere to ‘clean as you go’ principles
Skills And Compitencies
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of product handling, labelling, and storage practices
- Knowledge of basic math and warehouse management
- Plan and coordinate with other departments.
- Storage area control
- Safety, health, and environmental issues
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
