Job Summary
To facilitate assistance in the cost effective and timeous production of specials to the required time,quality standards, cost constraints and customer satisfaction, as well as maintaining ISO 9001:2015 series quality system and production.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or technical equivalent
- 1 year working experience in related field
- Ability to perform physical labour
Duties And Responsibilities
- Assisting the operator in the fabricating of pipes and pipe specials using appropriate machinery and tools.
- Machine cleaning, article cleaning, area upkeep, planning and re-organizing of work.
- Quality awareness and implementation.
- Consumables saving.
- Assistance in the recording of data related to the articles being worked on.
- Assistance to artisans.
- Customer awareness and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct mini-risk assessments, compliance with OHS Act and managing compliance with environmental legislation
Skills And Competencies
- Look after tools and equipment
- Awareness in quality, safety and environmental issues
- Ability to assist in the marking/cutting, rolling, welding, cleaning and provision of quality items
- Good communication skills(both spoken and written)
- Reporting skills
- Ability to take instruction
