RCL believes in achieving more! We are passionate about our goal to provide more food to more people, more frequently. Our Secubda Depot in Mpumalanga now has a vacancy for a cashier. This role will report to the Depot Manager.
The chosen candidates will be responsible for collecting and balancing all cash collected from drivers on a daily basis.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (with maths & accounting)
- 2 – 3 years’ experience as a cashier or bank experience as well as general office experience
- Computer skills (Word, Excel and Syspro)
- Honest
- Organised
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Must be a self-starter and have the ability to use own initiative
- Good wriitten and verbal skills
- High Level of Accuracy
Duties And Responsibilities
- Receive and recount cash from drivers.
- Process the payment against the correct driver receipt.
- Make up the bank and ensure that it balances everyday.
- Record cash and cheques in the cash-up summary.
- Cash rises every day.
- Prepare deposit for the bank.
- Record seal numbers in the register.
- Keep the cash office door secured at all times.
- Lock cash in safe overnight.
- Report irregularities to management.
- Cash balances to the Cashier report.
- Capture information in Syspro.
- Submit cash summary on a daily basis to the cashbook clerk.
