Position Purpose
The Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Trainee Programme provides students and recent graduates with valuable workplace exposure aligned to their field of study. The programme enables participants to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical environment while gaining hands-on experience, mentorship, and industry insight to improve future employability.
Key Responsibilities
Task Execution
- Assist with departmental projects and assigned work-stream activities
- Perform routine operational duties under supervision
- Support administrative tasks, including documentation and reporting
Learning & Development
- Participate in training sessions, workshops, and mentorship programmes
- Shadow experienced professionals to gain practical exposure
- Take part in problem-solving and skills development activities
Communication & Collaboration
- Engage with internal teams, customers, and suppliers
- Provide regular progress updates on assigned tasks
- Act as a point of contact for queries and support
Research & Analysis
- Conduct data collection, research, and basic analysis
- Compile reports and presentations using MS Office tools
- Support process improvement initiatives
Compliance & Safety
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
- Maintain ethical conduct, confidentiality, and professionalism
Minimum Requirements
- Matric certificate
- S4–S5 completed (all theoretical coursework) in one of the following fields:
- Electronics
- Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current)
- Mechanical Engineering
- South African citizen
- Aged between 18 and 35 years
- No existing bursary obligation with another company
- Proof of confirmation letter from the institution (most recent)
- Certified copies of Matric certificate, academic record, and ID
