🥘 Job Purpose

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cook to join our catering team in Atok, Limpopo. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals using standardized recipes while maintaining excellent hygiene, safety, and operational standards. This role also involves assisting with menu implementation, stock control, and ensuring efficient kitchen operations.


🔧 Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes
  • Cook meats, fish, vegetables, soups, gravies, cereals, bakery items, salads, and desserts
  • Prepare meals for special dietary requirements as prescribed
  • Take customer orders and prepare food to specification
  • Plan and manage work orders to ensure timely meal service
  • Assist with on-the-job training and supervise food service staff when required
  • Monitor stock levels and report food and supply requirements
  • Maintain accurate food production records
  • Ensure cleanliness of the kitchen, utensils, and equipment
  • Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times
  • Report equipment faults and food quality issues to the Kitchen Manager
  • Work shifts, including weekends and night shifts
  • Perform duties that may require lifting heavy equipment

🎓 Qualifications & Experience

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Relevant culinary qualification
  • 2–4 years’ experience in kitchen preparation and cooking
