Job Description
TWK Agri has the following opening: Cashier in the Trade division in Piet Retief, Mpumalanga.
This position entails handling all customer transactions properly and effectively. The role is in charge of processing payments, managing cash, welcoming clients, and issuing accurate receipts and change. The successful applicant will also keep the checkout area clean and organized, as well as assist with basic shop responsibilities such as stocking shelves, pricing things, and doing stock takes.
Qualifications & Skills
- Matric/Grade 12
- Computer literate
- Previous cashier experience.
- Ability to deal with money
- Ability to work with customers.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual (in Afrikaans and English) (advantageous)
Responsibilities and Duties
- Bag, box, wrap, and prepare items for transportation.
- Compute and record transactions.
- Count money in cash drawers at the start of shifts to confirm that the quantities are right and that there is enough change.
- Sort, count, and package the notes and coins.
- Use calculators, cash registers, or optical scanners to establish or identify product pricing and tabulate banknotes.
- Greet customers entering establishments.
- Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or changes owed to consumers.
- Maintain monthly balance statements of amounts and transactions.
- Accept payment by cash or card.
- Maintain clean and organized checkout areas.
- Stock shelves, mark pricing on shelves and products.
