📝 Position Purpose
To ensure the safe, timely, and confidential delivery of prescription medicines and healthcare products to patients, clinics, and healthcare facilities, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and patient confidentiality.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Deliver prescription and over-the-counter medication to homes, clinics, hospitals, and retirement facilities
- Prioritise urgent and scheduled deliveries
- Safely handle temperature-sensitive and refrigerated medication, including the use of ice packs
- Load and secure parcels to prevent damage during transit
- Obtain signatures and maintain accurate proof of delivery
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality at all times
- Communicate professionally with patients and healthcare personnel
- Report customer queries or concerns to the Dispensary Manager
- Return undelivered or rejected items with correct documentation
- Ensure delivery checklists are completed accurately
- Confirm the correct number of parcels before dispatch
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean and roadworthy
- Complete all assigned duties efficiently and responsibly
✅ Minimum Requirements
- National Senior Certificate (Matric) – Essential
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in delivery or courier services
- Basic understanding of pharmacy procedures (advantageous)
- Valid Code 08 or Code 10 Driver’s Licence
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
- No traffic violations on record
- Willingness to work shifts, including after-hours and weekends
