Apprentice – Heavy Equipment Mechanic (X12)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and motivated candidates for the Apprentice – Heavy Equipment Mechanic positions based at the Johannesburg Workshop. Internal permanent employees who meet the requirements will be considered first. Thereafter, external applicants will be considered.
Appointment will be made in line with the company’s Employment Equity Plan, with the aim of promoting representativity across race, gender, and disability in accordance with numerical targets.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 with Mathematics (Core), Physical Science, and Engineering Graphics & Design (EGD)
- Successful completion of a Technical Assessment (Numeracy and Literacy)
- Good physical health and willingness to undergo a medical examination, due to the strenuous nature of the role
- Valid Code EB (08) driver’s licence
- Must reside within a 50 km radius of the Bell Customer Service Centre
Added Advantages
- Grade 12 Mechanical Technology
- N2 Diesel or Motor Trade Theory
- NCV Level 4 in Engineering Related Design (ERD) with seven subjects in Automotive
- Previous engineering industry experience
- Completion of basic hand skills training
- Valid passport
