Job Description
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for a Health Merchandiser for its new shop in Fleurhof. Your responsibilities include ensuring that Dis-Chem’s fundamental merchandising standards are effectively implemented and maintained. Provide excellent client service.
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- Up to 6 months of retail experience.
- Computer literate: MS Office
- Willing and capable of working retail hours
Advantageous
- Diploma or degree in the Health Focus area.
- At least one year of retail experience.
Key Duties
- Restock items in accordance with corporate requirements.
- Ensure that supplied stock/stock removed from the storeroom is stored and packaged in the appropriate location.
- Ensure that the whole product selection is always available on the shelves.
- Facilitate stock rotation on a regular, First In, First Out basis.
- Assist with general stock taking.
- Ensure that the front shop shelves and items are always nicely arranged and visible, with the correct labeling and price.
- Ensure that merchandising displays are created, fronted up, stocked, and maintained.
- Maintain daily physical care of the store and merchandise displays, and be accountable for your assigned stock in both the store room and on the shop floor.
- Assist with back shopping.
- Ensure that any customer stock queries are addressed and handled.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong mastery of the English language.
- Presentable
- Effective involvement with customers, management, and employees
- Reliable and honest. Effective time management.
Advantageous
- Bilingual.
- Understanding of merchandising guidelines and the FMCG sector.
- Product and category knowledge.
- Ability to analyze ZMORE reports for ordering and stocktaking.
- Report any inappropriate or suspicious activity involving both employees and consumers.
