Job Description

The goal of this position is to provide great customer service so that both external and internal customers, including delivery and transfer drivers, are satisfied. This is accomplished by providing friendly customer service, maintaining a clean and tidy environment, and accurately loading all customers’ purchased products, ensuring that the Yard runs efficiently, resulting in no stock losses or dissatisfied customers, and encouraging customers to return to the store, increasing sales and profit margins.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Loading customers vehicles, delivery trucks and transfer trucks promptly and accurately
• Ensuring that stock is properly stacked and counted
• Assist with pulling of stock for transfers
• Reporting stock shortages
• Reporting stock breakages
• Up keeping of tidiness and cleaning of area by sweeping and upholding good housekeeping
• Assisting customers with excellent customer service and product knowledge
• Bagging of stone/ sand
• Participating in perpetual stocktakes
• Ensuring housekeeping of work area
• Performing any work related tasks as delegated by your superior

Requirements

• Matric or equivalent
• A minimum of one year of experience in a similar capacity is preferred.
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service
• Requirements for this position include numerical stock counting
• Independence, teamwork, discipline, and motivation.
• Capable at handling pressure and efficient verbal communication.
• Physical strength and stamina
