Job Summary
The successful candidate will join the Horticultural upkeep team, contributing to landscape upkeep and construction while also directing gardeners in their roles and responsibilities.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or NQF level 3 in an appropriate field and 12 months relevant horticultural experience.
- Ability to operate specialised horticultural machinery such as chainsaws, Ride-on mower etc.
- Basic safety knowledge and ability to complete tasks in time without constant supervision.
- Code 08 / EB driver’s licence and ability to pass RW K53 driving test.
Primary Duties
- Installing and maintaining irrigation systems.
- Maintaining indoor plants.
- Use of fertilizers, compost, mulches, and insecticides.
- Loading and unloading of commodities, machines, plants, and trash.
- Using specialised horticultural machines and equipment.
- Assist with decorating and construction when necessary.
- Maintaining specific sports and recreation fields.
- Site maintenance through horticulture.
