Job Purpose

The primary goal of this role is to provide learners with the opportunity to enroll in a national certificate in food and beverage packaging (NQF 3). They will sign a one-year fixed-term contract during which they will receive both on-the-job and off-the-job training, culminating in a national qualification.

Duties And Responsibilities

• The Learnership is a systematic learning program that integrates both on-the-job and off-the-job learning.
• The off-the-job component focuses on theoretical learning, while work-based learning allows for practical application and experiences.

Requirements

• Minimum Matric with Mathematics & English
• Technical Courses (N3, N4, N5 or N6) will be an added advantage
• Self-motivated
• Attention to detail
• Ability to interact well in teams
• Ability to work effectively in teams

Further qualities of a learnership include:

• A learnership leads to a national qualification listed on the Qualification Framework (NQF).
• The qualification is based on SAQA’s registered unit standards.
• The unit standards are written to reflect value-added abilities necessary in the workplace, and they include the outcomes and evaluation requirements.
• Competence is proven in the workplace through a number of evaluation methods, with the assessment criteria serving as the standard of performance.
