Job Summary
We’re now looking for a cashier to join our team. The incumbet will be in charge of receiving cash, cheques, credit or debit payments, and recording them using a cash register or computerized equipment.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Recognize the customer with a smile and remember that the customer always comes first. Always let our customers know that they are valuable and special to us.
- Address all consumer queries and concerns.
- Must keep the counter around the tills clean and guarantee that the tills are operable.
- The cashier must ensure that the float is counted, that enough coin is in the tills, and that the printer has enough paper and ribbon.
- To ensure that product in the resale section is correctly displayed and that fridges and shelves are refilled every day
- Must keep the front of house area neat.
- Counting money in cash drawers at the start of shifts to check that the numbers are correct and there is enough change.
- To guarantee that the daily cash up and associated papers are completed accurately and thoroughly in accordance with the standard.
- Must provide a receipt to the consumer and return the proper change. Any inconsistencies must be accounted for, and short falls will be deducted in accordance with the agreement.
- Must help keep the front of house working well.
- Must assist the front and back of house in carrying out orders.
- When the store is quiet, offer assistance wherever possible, including cleaning.
- Cleans up the counter and prepares a sales analysis every day.

Requirements
- Must have completed Grade 12/ Matric
- Must have 2-3 years experience in similar role
