Job Description

Cure Day Hospitals is a fast-growing firm with thirteen (13) active hospitals. We are seeking a passionate and energetic RECEPTIONIST AND ADMISSIONS CLERK to join our team in MIDSTREAM, PRETORIA.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains client service principles to guarantee that expectations are satisfied.
  • Management of the hospital telephone switchboard.
  • Effective liaison with client queries.
  • Opening the hospital at 5h30-5h45 every morning and welcoming clients, patients, and guests.
  • Contacting patients to provide information such as the time of admission and the necessary papers.
  • Responsible for capturing pre-admissions.
  • Ensures the proper admission and discharge of patients.
  • Management of payments made at Reception.
  • Responsibilities include assisting patients with obtaining medical authorization or quotations
  • Billing and finalizing patient files
  • Communicating with the unit manager of theatre, Registered Nurse in Ward, and relevant doctors’ rooms regarding cancellations or add-on patients, filing and uplifting patient files to Head Office
  • Maintaining and caring for photocopy and label printers and computers in Reception, and monthly banking.

Requirements

  • A Grade 12 diploma or other comparable qualification.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in the healthcare context.
  • Basic familiarity of the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of the ICD-10 codes.
  • Willingness to work shifts according on the facility’s requirements.
  • Customer-centric mindset that recognizes the importance of the customer.
  • A thorough understanding and application of patient administration systems, rules, and procedures.
  • The ability to perform under pressure.
  • Good interpersonal skills, the capacity to interact with others, and being on the front lines.
  • Ability to organize and organise work so that it is accomplished efficiently.
  • The ability to recognize and demonstrate corporate ideals.
  • Own transport.
