Job Positions: 50x Temporary Nightshift Warehouse Assistant, 40x Temporary Dayshift Warehouse Assistant and Temporary Truck Drivers (x8)

50x Temporary Nightshift Warehouse Assistant – JHB Depot
Duties
- Clean warehouse area.
- – Put parcels through the swad machine for dimensions and weights.
- – Receiving and arranging freight from inbound linehauls and local drivers as directed by your direct supervisor/manager.
- – Ensure all freight is suitably scanned, sorted and packaged for outbound linehauls and meets company requirements.
- – Ensure all damages are reported and repackaged where possible.
- – Ensure all freight is inbound and manifests are complete.
- – Ensure all re-routed parcels are distributed to new destination areas.
- – Ensure all freight is correctly distributed to the correct local routes from the floor and/or conveyor belt.
- – Ensure all remaining freight is floor checked, and notes attached for operations.
- – Ensure all inbound freight from various areas is depot received.
- – Ensure all outbound freight to various areas is placed on an outbound manifest and palletized.
- – Ensure all pallets are correctly loaded on outbound line hauls.
- – Assist local drivers to swap out parcels during swop-over.
Requirements
- Must be computer literate.
- Experience in the courier industry is an advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

40x Temporary Dayshift Warehouse Assistant – JHB Depot
Duties

8T Temporary Truck Drivers (x8) – Johannesburg Depot
Duties
- Ensure the correct destination number is written on the tracking sticker.
- Ensure that all national parcels are placed by the swad machine.
- Record correct weight and dims for parcels that cannot fit on the swad.
- – Ensure all scanning procedures are followed.
- – Distributing local parcels.
- – Ensure your truck is packed in a neat and orderly manner.
- – Ensure that the prescribed check sheet is accurately completed and signed before departure.
- – Ensure that you comply with all traffic regulations.
- – Ensure that you comply with all TCG policies and procedures.
- – Comply with all operational policies and procedures (including the workplace rules applicable to all TCG drivers, porters, and operational employees dated 10 May 2021 as amended from time to time).
- Ensure driver’s license and PDP is up to date.
- Ensure that the prescribed check sheet is accurately completed and signed before and after driving the vehicle.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or similar qualification.
- Valid driver’s EB/C1/C license with a valid PDP.
- Experience in the courier industry is recommended.
- Basic understanding of computer literacy.
- Experience in the courier industry is an advantage.
- – Sufficient truck driving experience.
