Job description
The Department of Health is asking suitable candidates to apply for the Messenger (Pharmacy) position at Jubilee District Hospital. This is an excellent chance for those with Grades 10-12 and proven messenger experience to work in a hospital pharmacy setting.
Requirements
- Grade 10, Grade 12, or an equivalent qualification at NQF Levels 3–5.
- 1–3 years of verified experience as a messenger.
- Ability to operate well in a team setting.
- The ability to work under pressure and fulfill deadlines.
- Good understanding of Batho Pele concepts.
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- A valid driver’s license will be an extra benefit.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collecting ward boxes from hospitals and delivering them to pharmacies.
- Distributing medications to all hospital outlets.
- Delivering TTOs to all wards.
- Running errands at the pharmacy section.
- Assisted in getting supplies from vendors.
- Collecting and dispensing medicines outside the hospital as needed.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
