Job Description
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is constantly searching for Casual Merchandisers to help expand a talent pool for its Woodlands location. The goal of a strategic talent pool is to have a conveniently available and pre-screened group of people with specified skills, credentials, or characteristics that qualify them for future career openings at Dis-Chem Pharmacies.
Purpose of the role:
You will ensure that fundamental Dis-Chem merchandising standards are followed and maintained. Your responsibilities will also include delivering outstanding customer service.
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- Up to 6 months of retail experience.
- Computer literate – Microsoft Office
- Willing and capable of working retail hours
Advantageous:
- At least one year of retail experience.
Competencies:
- Strong mastery of the English language.
- Presentable
- Effective involvement with customers, management, and employees
- Trustworthy and honest.
- Time Management
Advantageous:
- Bilingual
- Understanding of merchandising norms in the FMCG sector.
- Product and category knowledge.
- Responsibilities include analyzing ZMORE records for ordering and stock taking, as well as reporting inappropriate behavior by personnel or consumers.
Special terms of employment:
- Willing and capable of working retail hours
- Able and physically fit to carry and move big boxes while adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Reliable transportation and/or living in close proximity to the store
- South African citizen.
- Clear credit and criminal records.
