Job Description
Dis-Chem Pharmacies in Pretoria has an opportunity for a Security Guard Driver to render a security service in terms of the Private Security Industry Regulations Act 56 of 2001 as amended for the Dis-Chem Group that meets Dis-Chem’ security requirements to protect assets, property, and staff by creating a safe and secure environment, identifying signs of criminal activity or disorder, and investigating disturbances while adhering to legislation relevant to the Providing secure and dependable transportation for security personnel to and from work.
Requirements
- Grade 12 – Matric, or Senior Certificate, with PSIRA Grade C recognition.
- A minimum of three years of experience in the retail business, including shopping malls and warehouses.
- Previous shuttle driving experience.
Advantageous:
- A minimum of one year of specialized previous experience in a similar capacity.
Special terms of employment:
- PSIRA registered.
- Grade C PSIRA accreditation
- South Africans
- MIE, clean criminal and credit records
- Code 10 Driver’s Licence
- Valid Public Driving Permit.

Job Specification
- Conduct a proper car inspection in the morning.
- Reports any found faults and ensures that all vehicle licenses and documentation are renewed on schedule.
- Take security officers to and from work.
- Place the corporate car in a safe and secure authorized parking place.
- Ensure that all doors are properly locked at all times.
- Guard, patrol, and defend the company’s property at all stores where you are deployed.
- Act as a leader or senior security staff at the store where you are assigned, reporting any security issues that may necessitate the involvement of a security manager.
- Ensure the safe operation, use, and repair of the business vehicle.
- Maintain discipline when employees are in the car.
