Job Description
This employment demands the services of an individual to deliver finished items and load.
Trucks are configured in accordance with client specifications and corporate processes.
Requirements
- NQF level 4 certification (Grade 12).
- Valid forklift license.
- A minimum of two years of forklift driving experience is required, as well as logistics experience in an automotive industry.
Skills Required
- Understanding the pieces utilized in production.
- Understanding of inventory control, warehousing, and FIFO.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Able to add and subtract whole and positive numbers.
- Ability to detect, characterize, and vocally report work-related concerns.
Key Performance Areas
- Deliver finished items.
- Load trucks.
- Ensure that containers are correctly labeled.
- Ensure that items manufactured are sent in accordance with the FIFO system.
- Ensure that the items are loaded according to the customer’s specifications.
- Ensure that loaded final items comply with applicable safety rules.
- When loading open stillages, be sure to consider the weather conditions.
- Ensure that the forklift meets safety and maintenance standards by completing pre-start tests.
