Requirements

  • Matric or equivalent.
  • 12 months of retail experience.

Advantageous:

  • One year of in-store visual merchandising experience.
  • Microsoft Computer Proficiency.
  • Knowledge of current fashion trends and outdoor lifestyle (depending on the brand applying for).

Special terms of employment:

  • Clear credit and criminal records.
  • Ready and able to work retail hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Practice customer selling strategies to go above and beyond their expectations.
  • Ensure that individual objectives are routinely reached.
  • Ability to maximize and push sales by discovering ways to boost turnover.
  • Maintain a professional connection with clients by providing polite, helpful, and courteous support and advice to all of them.
  • Report consumer compliments and concerns to management.
  • Transact all purchases by accepting, verifying, and processing all payments, including cash, cards, vouchers, coupons, and any other approved payment method.
  • Ensure that any outgoing stock/items/scripts are scanned and paid for.
  • Process all loyalty cards, including those from expedited partners.
  • Maintain stock loss controls at the shop.
  • Attend to any client stock queries and ensure that they are addressed and resolved.
  • Maintain housekeeping.

  • Implement window campaigns that are consistent with the company’s branding guidelines and marketing objectives.
  • Implement seasonal and promotional displays in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all visual merchandising elements, including as window displays, in-store displays, and signage, are current, clean, and well-maintained.
  • Execute Visual Merchandising directions from the Head Office team to ensure brand strategy is followed.
