Duties And Competencies
- General Worker performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on buildings, mechanical equipment and utility systems.
- Performs minor and major repair of all buildings and equipment.
- Undertake activities associated with maintenance of facilities, cleanliness of designated areas and proving support during the re-location of office furniture/equipment in accordance with laid down instructions.
Requirements
- Matric, NQF level 4 or any other equivalent qualification
- General maintenance training
- Two years working experience in maintenance environment
- Knowledge of methods used in maintenance including the following trades: carpentry, plumbing, glass replacement, painting, appliance repair, standard practices and tools used in the maintenance and repair of building facilities, safety practices and procedures relating to building trades.
