Job Description
Voltex (Pty) Ltd is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the role of Driver Code 10 for the Centurion branch. This incumbent will be reporting to the Branch Manager.
The purpose of this role is responsible for the efficient delivery and collection of stock to customers.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Before departing on a journey, complete a vehicle inspection document to confirm that the car is roadworthy.
- Report any faults or accidents with the car to the branch manager immediately.
- Navigate each place on the agenda to determine the most efficient trip.
- Load stock according to the log sheet with the dispatch clerk and confirm that stock matches the delivery note.
- Submit the applicable delivery administration and reports for each delivery to ensure an accurate record of what has been completed.
- Obtain clients’ and customers’ signatures as an acknowledgment of receiving the provided items.
- Communicate effectively with clients and customers to resolve issues.
- Ensure the delivery truck is constantly clean.
- Keep a record and notify the operations manager when the vehicle is due for service.
- Report all delivery-related difficulties to the Branch Manager.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and security regulations.
Requirements
- Matric
- A valid Code 10 drivers’ license is a must.
- A valid PDP licence is a must.
- Minimum 3 years of driving experience.
- Familiar with GPS technology devices
- Understanding of warehousing processes
- Knowledge of relative safety requirements and protective clothing
