Job Description
At our Durban Branch, the post listed above is now vacant. The overarching goal of this role is to guarantee that all Security and CIT personnel are armed with safe and functional guns.
Requirements:
- No prior criminal history.
- PSIRA with at least a Grade C accreditation.
- Competed in both pistol and rifle training.
- SAPS Competency Certificate.
- CIT certification is useful.
- 1–2 years of experience in the security business or an equivalent function.
- It is advantageous to have 1-2 years of experience as an armorer.
- Living nearby or having your own transportation is essential.
Key Performance Areas:
- Complete responsibility and accountability for all guns.
- Issue and receive all guns to and from the arsenal.
- Report all delays to the Armory Manager immediately.
- Incident prevention and reporting
- Take precautionary measures against any questionable activities.
- Maintain all applicable registries up to date.
- Ensure that all guns are clean and working.
- Report damages.
- To scan guns.
- Ensure that all Regulation 21 refresher training is completed on a regular basis.
