Job description
As a Cybersecurity Learner, you will assist the Cybersecurity Operations team while taking part in the International Cybersecurity Early Careers Programme. The job gives hands-on experience with cybersecurity operations while also establishing core knowledge through organized training and certification preparation.
Cybersecurity Operations Exposure
- Understand how cybersecurity teams monitor and detect possible security threats.
- Learn how to assess security alerts and how issues are identified and addressed.
- Participate in investigations of questionable activities under the supervision of qualified analysts.
- Gain insight into how cybersecurity teams coordinate responses to security issues.
Cyber threat intelligence (CTI)
- Learn how to collect and analyze threat intelligence from both internal and external sources.
- Contribute to basic threat reports and intelligence summaries.
- Learn how threat intelligence aids in proactive cyber defense.
Digital Forensics: Exposure
- Perform evidence collecting and analysis operations under supervision.
- Learn how to perform digital investigations in a forensically sound and legally acceptable manner.
- Learn about forensic tools and investigative procedures used by cybersecurity teams.
Human Cyber Risk and Awareness
- Encourage user awareness efforts that assist workers establish safer online behaviors.
- Assist in creating cybersecurity awareness materials and training sessions.
- Analyze behavioral data to identify areas where extra awareness training may be necessary.
Learning and Certification Development.
- Participate in organized training sessions as part of the Early Careers Program.
- Complete study activities and courses related to the CompTIA Security+ certification.
- During your Learnership, you will prepare for and complete certification exams.
Programme Participation
- Participate in professional development initiatives that aim to improve workplace abilities.
- Participate in programme learning and knowledge-sharing activities.
- Track learning progress and stick to study plans during the Learnership.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have finished Grade 12 in Mathematics and Science.
- Have a keen interest in cyber and information security.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Have excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Capable of rapidly learning new technology and concepts.
- This position requires strong written and spoken English communication abilities.
