Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 10 or Equivalent
- Valid Code 14 driver’s license with PrDP
- Applicable Operator Training
- 2 years’ experience in a similar environment
- Physically fit to perform manual labour
Core Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy machinery and/or trucks safely
- Safely transport staff, plant or equipment to the site
- Safely operate jet truck water vehicles, skid steer loaders, bobcats and other related civil heavy plant machinery
- Plan, organise and ensure that work allocated to the team is carried out effectively and adhere to set standards
- Ensure that resources allocated are used effectively and efficiently.
- Set out necessary work signs as per the appropriate Traffic Control Plan on site to ensure safety and staff and equipment
- Ensure compliance to governance and legislative requirements, OHS Act and related regulations, by-laws, regulations, policies and procedures
- Adhere to specific standards, policies and SOP’s to prevent and reduce wastage on financial resources and escalate

- Responsible for receiving, coordinating and interpreting job cards, maps and work instructions
- Open and enter manholes, lift hoses and other heavy working equipment and tools
