REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Grade 10 or equivalent qualification as recognised by SAQA
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
- Knowledge and understanding of cleaning products, materials, and equipment
- Knowledge of operating basic cleaning machinery and equipment
- Understanding of health and safety measures within a working environment
- Knowledge of Batho Pele Principles and commitment to public service values

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring cleanliness, hygiene, and general maintenance of offices and facilities. Key duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Cleaning offices, boardrooms, corridors, storerooms, elevators, and other workspaces
- Sweeping, mopping, polishing, and vacuuming office floors using appropriate equipment
- Scrubbing and sanitising toilets, ensuring adequate supply of toilet paper and hygiene materials
- Cleaning windows, walls, and doors to maintain a neat and professional appearance
- Cleaning kitchens, including washing and maintaining kitchen utensils and appliances
- Emptying waste bins, disposing of refuse responsibly, and maintaining cleanliness standards
- Dusting furniture, equipment, and surfaces
- Providing water and basic support services during meetings and official events
- Refilling aqua coolers and ensuring water stations are clean and functional
- Cleaning and maintaining cleaning equipment and machinery
- Keeping an accurate record and safe storage of cleaning materials and supplies
- Reporting shortages, damages, or maintenance issues to the relevant supervisor
- Adhering strictly to occupational health and safety regulations at all times
