Job Description
Dis-Chem Pharmacies has an opportunity for a security guard to render a security service in terms of the Private Security Industry Regulations Act 56 of 2001 as amended for the Dis-Chem Group that meets Dis-Chem’s security requirements to protect assets, property, and staff by creating a safe and secure environment, identifying signs of criminal activities or disorder, and investigating disturbances while adhering to legislation relevant to the industry and best practices.
Requirements
- Grade 12 – Matric or Senior Certificate.
- PSIRA with minimum Grade C
- A general minimum of three years of experience in the retail business, including shopping malls and warehouses.
Competencies
- PSIRA knowledge.
- Training includes exposure to fire emergencies, as well as pertinent health and safety issues.
- English – Read, write, and speak fluently because it is the organization’s official language.
Special terms of employment:
- PSIRA is registered.
- PSIRA certification is graded C.
- South African MIE with a clear criminal record and credit history.
- When working as a driver, you must have a driver’s license and dependable transportation as well as a PDP.
