Job description

Parts Incorporated Africa is looking for a driver to join their team in Nelspruit. The goal of this function is to guarantee that things are delivered safely to and from their destination, as well as that all processes are performed correctly.

Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • At least three years of delivery experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with PDP – essential.
  • Good time management skills are essential.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to operate under pressure.
  • Must be honest and demonstrate integrity.
  • Sober habits.
  • Clear criminal record

Key Performance Indicators 

  • Inspecting the car before departure and return
  • Inspection lists must be returned to the Dispatch Supervisor every Monday for approval before a fresh inspection list can be issued.
  • Any issues on the vehicle must be reported immediately before it may leave the premises.
  • Before putting items onto the van, always check them with the supervisor and follow the New Dispatch putting process.
  • Delivering parcels to consumers along your specified route, as per the route schedule and trip sheet.
  • Ensure client compliance with the POD protocol.
  • Stick to the RFC method.
  • Deliver all papers and collection slips assigned to your trip sheet, and get POD.
  • Sign trip sheets in with the POD clerk and verify that all documentation allocated to your name are completed and returned the following day.
  • Outstanding trip sheets will be your responsibility, and you will be held accountable for any claims relating to No pod queries.
  • There are no stock transfers between client stores.
  • Maintaining and cleaning the vehicle, and immediately reporting any concerns to the dispatch supervisor.
  • Report any difficulties discovered with deliveries or PODs to the dispatch supervisor.
