Job Description
Triton Academy is seeking ambitious and driven individuals to join its 18-month Occupational Certificate: Truck Driver Learnership program, which aims to empower jobless South African youth via organized training and hands-on experience in the logistics business.
Requirements
- South African citizen having a clean criminal record.
- Between the ages of 23 and 35.
- C1 driving license, valid PrDP, and at least 2 years of driving experience.
- Matric (Grade 12)/TVET N3/NQF Level 3.
- Proof of a valid Matric certificate and/or complete academic record and ID.
- A minimum of a 40% pass in both English and Mathematics/Mathematical Literacy.
- There is no financial commitment with another firm.
- Not now working or studying.
- Preferably live within a 20-25 km radius of the Company.
- Must be medically fit.
- Can read, write, and speak in English.
- Numerically literate.
- Must be available to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Must have dependable transportation.
- Computer literacy (advantageous).
- Previous job experience in logistics/warehouse is advantageous.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that items are appropriately loaded, secured, and protected throughout travel.
- Operating automobiles responsibly in different road and weather conditions
- Delivering and retrieving freight on schedule while upholding service standards
- rapidly report vehicle faults, mishaps, or delays to superiors.
- Perform supplementary jobs and general housekeeping in the warehouse and yard.
- Providing professional and polite service to customers and coworkers
Program information:
- Program Title: Occupational Certificate in Truck Driver
- 18 month full-time learnership includes theoretical, practical, and workplace components.
- Stipend = R4500.00 per month.
Learning and Development:
- Structured theoretical instruction linked with the QCTO program.
- Workplace practical experience and mentorship.
- Assessment preparation for the final external examination.
