Requirements

  • Matric (grade 12)
  • Proven experience in a Contract Manager or Senior Warehouse Management job.
  • Experience managing big teams (300+ personnel) in a distribution/warehouse setting.
  • Proven security management experience at the DC warehouse
  • Strong experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations.
  • CIIMS Certification, Security Management Certification, or a related higher level
  • Valid Grade A PSIRA certification.
  • Strong understanding of labour management methods and time and attendance systems.
  • Proven ability to handle risks and compile investigative reports.
  • demonstrated the capacity to chair disciplinary hearings and manage employee relations on-site.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor end-to-end warehouse operations to guarantee efficiency, accuracy, and excellent service delivery.
  • Lead, inspire, and manage a workforce of over 300 individuals, including supervisors and team leaders.
  • Ensure efficient labor management, including personnel planning, productivity monitoring, and cost control.
  • Oversee and enforce the warehouse security management and risk mitigation practices.
  • Implement and manage risk-management measures to protect assets and operations.
  • Conduct and create an investigative report on occurrences, losses, or breaches.
  • Ensure rigorous compliance with SLAs, KPIs, and client expectations.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities to boost productivity and save operating expenses.
  • Maintain adherence to health, safety, and security requirements
  • Manage time and attendance systems, ensuring staff responsibility.
  • Conduct disciplinary proceedings, including as chairing hearings and handling on-site discipline
  • Develop and maintain excellent client connections with Woolworths stakeholders.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on operational performance.
