Job Description
The incumbent will be responsible for providing effective and efficient motor vehicle driving services to the Council for Geoscience (CGS) and its business units. The role includes transporting scientific and support staff to facilitate the execution of geoscience technical programmes, as well as performing related administrative duties in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Grade 10; and Valid driver’s license (Code 10/C1 with PDP).
- The candidates with one of the following licence or certificates will have an added advantage:EC licence or code 14 with PDP (Professional Driving Permit).
- TLB operating certificate.
- Fork Lift Certificate.
- Minimum 06 months related experience as a Driver.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret maps/directions.
- Ability to operate a GPS.
- Understanding of the responsibilities/liabilities of driving/transporting passengers.
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.
