About the Role
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a reliable, professional, and customer-focused Courier Driver to join our logistics team in Midrand. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely delivery of stock to stores and customers while representing the Dis-Chem brand with professionalism at all times.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
Deliveries
- Deliver the correct products to the correct store or customer, on time
- Plan and use the most efficient delivery routes
- Load and offload stock according to company procedures
- Ensure all deliveries are checked, signed for, and correctly documented
- Prevent product damage and report any losses or discrepancies
- Assist with unpacking when required
- Maintain accurate Driver Trip Sheets and delivery logs
- Return used boxes to designated bins at the Distribution Centre
Reporting & Administration
- Submit signed Proof of Delivery (PODs) to the Call Centre Clerk daily
- Provide signed delivery manifests to management
- Accurately record and report delivery issues or discrepancies
Communication
- Communicate clearly with the Courier Call Centre regarding delivery challenges or address issues
Vehicle & Safety
- Conduct daily and weekly vehicle inspections
- Use fuel cards responsibly and as per company policy
- Report all accidents, incidents, and vehicle defects immediately
- Adhere strictly to road traffic laws and Dis-Chem safety standards
- Take responsibility for traffic fines and insurance excess where negligence applies
✅ Minimum Requirements
Essential:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Valid Code 8 Driver’s Licence
- Minimum 2 years’ door-to-door delivery experience
Advantageous:
- Valid PDP
- Bilingual

- Able to engage effectively with customers, staff, and management
- Knowledge of Distribution Centre operations (advantageous)
