Job Description
Midas is looking for a Driver: Light Duty to join the team in Goodwood. The purpose of this role is to ensure a safe delivery of goods to and from and ensuring that all procedures are followed accordingly.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- At least three years of delivery experience.
- Valid driver’s license with PDP – essential.
- Good time management skills are essential.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to operate under pressure.
- Must be honest and demonstrate integrity.
- Sober habits.
- Clear criminal record
Key Performance Areas.
- Inspecting the car before departure and return
- Inspection lists must be returned to the Dispatch Supervisor every Monday for approval before a fresh inspection list can be issued.
- Any issues on the vehicle must be reported immediately before it may leave the premises.
- Before putting items onto the van, always check them with the supervisor and follow the New Dispatch putting process.
- Delivering parcels to consumers along your specified route, as per the route schedule and trip sheet.
- Ensure client compliance with the POD protocol.
- Stick to the RFC method.
