Job description
A well-established fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) firm is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented General Worker Picker to join its warehouse operations team in Lords View, Gauteng. This position is suited for those who are industrious, physically strong, and can maintain high levels of accuracy in a fast-paced setting.
The selected applicant will be responsible for ensuring that client orders are appropriately picked, carefully handled, and expeditiously readied for shipment. This role demands someone who can operate independently and collaboratively while keeping a strong focus on productivity and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Selecting items from storage facilities using selecting slips or order instructions
- Ensure that the right products and amounts are selected before staging them for inspection.
- Place selected items in specified inspection locations for quality control.
- To guarantee safe shipment, items are securely sealed or wrapped following inspection.
- Maintaining a clean and ordered workplace at all times
- Follow all safety recommendations and corporate procedures to prevent workplace accidents.
- Supporting warehouse operations by assisting with general duties as needed.
- Ensure that all work is completed within the given timelines and productivity objectives.
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate is required
- Target Driven
- Work in a pressured workplace.
- Required to work on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays as the business demands.
