Applications are invited for the Cleaner position to be based in Sedgefield.
Role Purpose
Cleaners perform a wide range of duties to keep a business tidy. They are also responsible for performing routine inspections to ensure that common areas, like restrooms are sanitary.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for basic cleaning in office buildings.
- Cleaning activities include dusting, mopping, sweeping, waxing floors, spot cleaning glass and windows, and vacuuming.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, door handles, and surfaces.
- Refilling supplies like toilet paper and paper towels.
- Quickly clean up spills, shattered glass, and other disasters.
- Performing cleaning-related maintenance duties, such as ensuring sanitary toilets.
- Report low cleaning supplies as needed.
Skills And Competencies
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Must be proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Follow and comprehend work tasks.
- Highly responsible and reliable.
- Demonstrate an understanding of standard cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Must be physically capable of performing 8 hours of physical work each day.
- Possess a strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
Requirements
- No qualification necessary (Grade 12 or equivalent qualification advantageous).
