Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced and dependable Linehaul Driver to move items effectively and securely between authorized hubs and distribution centers. The ideal applicant will have a Code 14 license, a valid PDP, a thorough awareness of road safety standards, and extensive long-haul driving experience.
This position facilitates both PAXI delivery and consumer goods mobility.
Qualifications & Skills
- A minimum of three years’ experience operating 6×4 truck tractors (such as Scania, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, or MAN).
- Valid Code 14 driver’s licence.
- Valid PDP.
- Clear criminal and driving records.
- South African citizen has a valid South African identification card.
Key Responsibilities
- Use heavy-duty trucks to transfer freight between hubs and critical distribution sites.
- Maintain timely pickups and deliveries while following to all traffic rules and corporate regulations.
- Perform pre- and post-trip checks to guarantee mechanical readiness and roadworthiness.
- Secure goods to avoid moving, loss, or damage during travel.
- Maintain correct mileage and hour records.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety rules, and route timetables.
- Communicate efficiently with dispatchers and swiftly report any delays, concerns, or occurrences.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and fault diagnostics as needed.
- Maintain client satisfaction by following the company’s freight handling policies.
