Job Description
TWK Agri is looking for a Trainee Grain Grader for its Grain division at Mkondo Silo, Piet Retief, Mpumalanga.
Job Summary
This position entails assisting grain input, grading, and dispatch processes while receiving on-the-job training to become a fully trained Grain Grader. The trainee will help with quality control, administrative responsibilities, and operational processes to ensure that grain handling adheres to industry standards, food safety regulations, and business policies.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist in raw material management during grain intake and distribution.
- Support grain grading activities under supervision.
- Assist with weighbridge operation and record keeping.
- Maintain hygiene, pest-control, and cleaning requirements.
- Support Quality Management Systems and Food Safety Practices.
- Perform basic administrative chores, such as filing and data capture.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements.
- communicate well with managers and team members.
Requirements
- Matric/Grade 12
- Willingness to finish a grain-grading and fumigation course
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong administrative abilities, including filing and record-keeping
- Ability to properly interact with consumers and farmers.
- Ability to operate in a grain-handling environment (dust, heights, and limited spaces).
- Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
- Ability to operate under pressure.
- Bilingual (in Afrikaans and English)
- Willingness to work extra and night shifts as needed.
- Valid driver’s license (Code 08).
- Willing to travel.
