JOB OVERVIEW
To check products to confirm that the items and amount are correct, that there are no damaged or missing things, and that the client receives their purchase in a suitable way.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Inspection and Order Accuracy
- Inspect products to check that items and amounts correspond to the order.
- Confirm that no items are missing, damaged, or faulty.
- Perform quality checks before to, during, and after packaging.
Warehouse Distribution and Retail Fulfillment
- Manage inventory distribution from warehouse to retail outlets, assuring on-time and precise delivery.
- Use correct packaging procedures to avoid damage during shipment.
Shipping and Receiving
- Use scanning equipment to keep track of and check inventories.
- Sign for incoming shipments and confirm the correctness of the received items.
- Ensure that orders are sent on time.
Warehouse Organization and Inventory Management
- Load, unload, transport, stack, and arrange products in a safe and orderly fashion.
- Maximize warehouse storage space by strategically placing items.
- Assist with inventory control and management activities as needed.
Customer Satisfaction and Problem Solving
- Ensure that consumers receive their orders in good quality and on schedule.
- Self-identify problems or faults, provide solutions, then collaborate with others to address them.
- Provide positive comments to coworkers and management to ensure continual progress.
Compliance and Productivity Standards
- Meet corporate productivity and quality requirements.
- Meet or exceed speed and accuracy standards for choosing, packaging, and shipping.
Additional Duties
- Perform additional relevant jobs and tasks as directed by the supervisor or management.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Matric (compulsory), higher education is advantageous.
- Experience in retail and/or warehouse settings is desired.
- Knowledge of inventory control systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
