Main purpose of the job
To provide high-class customer service and to increase the company’s growth and revenue through
sales maximization.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Customer Service
- Greet clients as they enter the shop, help them discover items, and offer product information and recommendations.
- Effectively use upselling and cross-selling strategies to boost UPT, ATV, conversion, and turnover.
- Understand and promote various payment options, including PAYFLEX, PJN, and HappyPay.
- Responsibilities include representing the brand, following uniform policies and grooming standards, and maintaining a professional appearance on the sales floor.
Visual merchandise
- To successfully advise consumers, have a complete awareness of the items and their location, including ingredients, care instructions, and price.
- Steam, tag, price, hang, fold, restock inventory, and maximize space.
- Follow VM rules and policies to provide a great shopping experience for all consumers.
Stock Control
- Maintain stockroom order and cleanliness by placing items in the appropriate categories and making them easily accessible to accelerate the sales process.
- Actively communicate with management about stock levels, sell outs, best sellers, and any other stock requirements.
Daily Operation and Housekeeping
- Consistently observe and adhere to time and attendance standards and procedures, clock in and out, record late arrivals, and stick to the roster.
- Ensure correct and efficient customer transactions by using a POS system, managing cash, updating variance schedules, and accepting credit/debit cards.
SKILLS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
- Grade 12.
- Computer literacy.
- Higher education (advantageous).
- 1–2 years of job experience, ideally in a retail context.
- Knowledge of retail techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to provide customer service.
